If you know me, you know that I believe that BUREK is a holy, sanctafied food. It should be served for "Lords Supper" in Churches. :)
Unfortunatelly this is not a picture of the BUREK I ate, but reminded me of it. I can't wait to go next week to Subotica to the BEST BUREK place I found so far... and you will get a picture I can assure you.
If any of you ever gets the chance to come to any of the Balkan Republics, a BUREK is a "must have it".
So after of the picture of the Sarma Now the BUREK, the next will have to be a Čevap, sooner or later... I hope sooner :)
P.S. My diet goes great. I am 80 Kilos, lost 12 kilos so far... have 4 more weeks :)

couple questions. 1. I don't remember eating much Sarma in Croatia. Only in Romania. Does your wife cook it regularly? If so, I'm there. 2. Diet? Tell me about it. I'm curious. If you've lost 12 kilos by eating burek, sarma, and cevap, then I'm missing something.

Sarma is in every republic of ex-yugoslav federation. The best ones are home-made, but the very best ones are made in Bosnia... I ate the best ones in Sarajevo and Bihac. Unfortunatelly the diet contains only Cevap and Sarma...the Burek is strictly "sinful" during the diet... :)

Diet is good, but you have to combine it with Jogging or some excercise...Not too much, because then you will have to eat...
Can't wait to meet both of you in person...Tour options I can offer:
1. Illegal(legal) visit to the water tower
2. "Leap of faith"- walking on mine fields, to see if you truly have faith
3. Boring walk through the regular tourist routes... :)

Not that we wouldn't believe you, but you might consider posting 'before and after' fotos once the diet is complete. ;^)
